2.4c Question

Right now, I have a P4 2.53 533. I am getting the Is7-e board, and I was wondering: Would it be worth it to invest 170 dollars into a 2.4c? 2.6c? TIA for any help

I would say no, unless you have money kicking around..im asuming you want to overclock?

Spend the money on the 2.4c. A 2.6c is a waste of money for the 2.4 can overclock to way past 3.0 speeds. Search the forums for "2.4c." You'll find numerous threads on a 2.4c's overclocking capability.

It would most definetly be worth it for the 2.4C, since just about every one I know of can hit 3.2 GHz easily (some even on stock cooling). The matter of fact you could just sell your current one on ebay and only end up paying a few bucks difference. If you still have the retail box and HSF you might even make a few bucks on it. Go for it.

What will I do without a computer for 2-3 weeks if I sell? I can't borrow the money to buy, and then pay back. It will take about 3 weeks to get money, then get the CPU shipped to me. I guess I could make it work if I do some serious begging, and maybe my mom will oblige. I've already raped 350+ dollars from her over the last 3 months...

Dude, get the 2.4c. i have mine @ 3.617 right now. at only 1.6 volts 301mHz!! defently ( god i suck at spelling) worth the green!
