| This is an article that list them, but only has OC Info for other models: AnandTech: Corsair Dominator PC2-10000: Fastest DDR2 Here is the chart with the Corsair they have tested so far: AnandTech: Corsair Dominator PC2-10000: Fastest DDR2 The best I can do is the customer reviews at New Egg: Customer Reviews Of CORSAIR 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail The chipset you have will determine ther max speed in a way, NVIDIA's 680i will get the most from them...this is just one, I sugggest you read them all!

| He has the 6600 (9x multi instead of your 7x) if he gets to 320FSB, that is only 2880MHZ..pretty low for that CPU. To max out his CPU (Typicaly 3.6-4GHZ with air or water) he would need to hit between 400-445FSB, wich means speeds DDR2 1600-1780...I think that is gonna be one hella stretch, and probably a new World Record for DDR-2! From what I can tell, the real difference between your ram and the "Dominator" series is pretty much just the heatspreader and optional fan, sounds like they use the same chips....converting the "Quad Pumped" FSB of what that guy got from the new egg review (1256DDR/4=314FSB) I would say not real likely! | ||

The Dominator wasn't much more than the basic 8500, hence it made the cut for me. With the Dominator heatspreader I'd hoped to get a little more out of them perhaps than the normal 8500. As it is they're hella fast and 1066 5-5-5-15 so I won't risk OCing unless I know what they'll reach so I can steer clear of their peak and keep a safe OC. It seems the safe OC isn't really worth the mhz though. So you're getting better speed runnind them with tighter timings at 800mhz as opposed to 1066 eh?

Slaymates RAM (8500), according to Corsair technician, uses Promos ICs where as the 8500 Dominators use Micron ICs. 8500 Dominators will do 5-5-5-15 2T @ 1200mhz and will also do 3-3-3-8 2T @ 800mhz.

| When I 1st got my EVGA 680i mobo with bios P22 (I think) It wouldn't run the memory at 1066 with the fsb at 445 unless I set the memory at 533 unlinked. When bios 23 came out it let me run everything a little faster. I jumped up to 800 on the memory w/ faster latencies and the fsb at 450. When bios P24 came out it ran at my old settings and I lowered the latencies even more and was happy. Since you've said you were running your memory at 1066 (Mr. Fiddles) I've tried the same. Right now I'm at 1066 w/ stock latencies with the fsb at 430. Hexus Pi_fast runs in 33.39 where it was running 32's. I tried bios P25 and it keep locking up when ever I got to 323 fsb, but I didn't have my memory at 1066. That might have been my problem. I've got a Core 2 Xtreme 6800 coming and it should be here Friday. I'll have some new observations to talk about by the weekend :-) | ||
