Default OCZ PC3200 Platinum memory - reversion differences??

Hi everyone! Long time no see! It's been a little while since I've posted, but I'm back and trying to get caught up now

O.K., so here is my question....I recently had one of my pair of 1GB OCZ PC3200 DDR400 Platinum memory sticks (OCZ4001024ELPE, 2-3-2-5) die on me. I couldn't reinstall WinXP onto one of my media rigs, and after doing some reading on the errors I was getting during reinstall, I ran MemTest86 and found that one of them had pretty much died.

So after getting my RMA (good ol' lifetime warranty!!) from OCZ, I noted on the form to them that my memory was Revision 1.0 (according to the sticker on the RAM). Anyway, I just got back the new memory from them, and I noticed that the sticker pegged the new sticks as Revision 2.2.

Does anyone out there know what the difference is between these two revisions? I know that RAM makers will make small adjustments to memory over the lifetime of a product - but I'm not sure what was changed. It would be nice if the Revision 2.2 was an improvement over my original sticks, though!

Shout out to my fellow PCApex pimps!!

Well buddy, It just might run better with more chipsets and maybe a diff stock voltage.. Or maybe they changed the chips on the ram to something newer, Witch sometimes sucks.. Were you overclocking the memory? If so try and overclock this and see what it does. You gota find out how far you can push it with the stock timings and voltage!
