| im personally running 2gb of ram in dual channel (4x512mb sticks) 1gb of it is corsair XMS platinum series, and the other 1gb is A Data ram, and i havent had any problems with mixing brands... i think so long as the memory has the same timings everything will be fine... but i suppose it is probably best to stick to the same brand, but like i said, ive been running this memory for about 1 year in dual channel mode (i used to just have the 1gb of corsair ram in dual channel mode when i first got the system) and i havent had any problems with it... | ||

| It is a little bit more of an issue if you are planning on overclocking, but if not then dont worry about it, it will work just fine. If you are planning on overclocking having 4 sticks may make it harder and then the timings and ram speed of each module come into play much more. | ||
