| I think my ram is craping on me! Works fine playing BF2 for hours... I have the GSkill 2gbHZ and from what i hear you can run it at 3-3-3-8 at 400Mhz EXt Clock.. @ 2.4V so i tryed it and boom it booted right up.. Played bf2 for a while and started to get C/I's I thought to my self its just the server... Finally it booted me.. Witch can still be the server.. So i decide to run Memtest86 with floppy.. As soon as i start it i get errs..not even 2 mins into it i already got 200 err.. So i try and loosing the timmings up a bit.. still the same thing.. So i set them back to stock 4-4-4-8 at 2.1V still 200Errs at 2 mins.. Humm whats up with this? It still plays BF2 like nothing.. Any one got any ideas? Or you think my ram is just craping on me.. Should i RMA now or just wait it out and see what happans?? Thanks guys Matt | ||

| If you're talking about G.Skill DDR kits as opposed to DDR2 kits, then my suggestion is to run them at 2.6V at stock settings. If the kits pass memtest at 3-4-4-8-1T at 2.6V-2.8V then the RAM is fine, this would also be the starting point for any overclocking you may consider. I've gotten my G.Skill F1-4000USU2-2GBHZ kit up to DDR520 with stock timings and voltage, my 3200+ gave out before the kit did I think. | ||

| G.Skill's customer service should be able to hook you up with a replacement kit. My brother had his kit replaced real fast after it suddenly crapped out. The only problem is that your computer will be dead for a while unless you have a spare. | ||

| I would save the high voltages for benching only with DDR-2. I seriusly doubt you will notice in gaming if you beat the hell out of it with tight timings, massive FSB and voltage...I mean, can u realy tell that last 2-3FPS? Anything over 2.2v is probably not a good idea for daily use IMO, unless the ram is the premium stuff from OCZ or someone that warranties them in the 2.4-2.5v range like they do...I think Mushkin and Corsair do on certain models. I would use some kind of fan blowing on them too, especially for benching above 2.3v...DDR-2 gets hot pretty quick when it's much above stock voltage! (1.8v) | ||

| Test each RAM module individually, one stick at a time at stock/auto settings in your BIOS. Could be one stick. If they both work on their own but not together it's likely the motherboard. If it's only one stick that's showing errors then you can be sure it's the RAM. Go ahead and RMA both pieces if they're a matched dual channel kit. I'm kind of assuming so >.> | ||
