pc 3200 with pc 2700 ??

Hey, will running my old pc2700 sticks with my new 3200 sticks of memory slow me down ?? i have them all running at the same speed or w.e?

The PC 3200 will just run at the speed of the PC 2700. So it's slowing down your new memory, but it isn't slowing it down anymore then what it was already at.

Depends on how well your PC2700 handles overclocks........
For the most part though The Amish Kid is right (but how come an Amish Kid has a computer to begin with, lol) in that the PC3200 will run at the lower speed

i acctually have 2x512 mb 2700 and 2x512 mb 3200 and they all run at the saem speed as the 2700. I get great performance.

yeah, kind of, i got 200 more pts in pc mark 05 with all my mem going at the same time. so im keeping it

I have even mixed a 128MB stick of PC2100 (Kingston) with a 256 stick (Geil) and had no issues as long as I set the timings and FSB speed manually (On a single channel motherboard....

)

I have alos used PC2700 and PC3200 ind dual channel at PC3200 speeds by playing with the timings and bumping the voltage to 2.8v

I'm managing some pretty tight timings with duel channel on some non matched crucial memory sticks here. (one is single sided and the other double and they are manufactured 59 weeks apart!) and it's working fine.
