| I currently have 1.5gb of ram in my system. 2x512 mb corsair pc3200 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145440 and a 512 pc2700 from my old computer A friend told me that the pc2700 might actually slow me down, and it would be better to just run it with 1gb pc3200. Is that true? ![]() | ||

| Yes, the PC2700 is slowing you down. It's dropping your RAM to DDR333 since that older RAM can't run at DDR400. Plus, filling all four RAM slots force 2T command timings, which kill performance. You'd be better off with 1GB, until you can get 2x1GB sticks of RAM. | ||
