Default Newbie RAM question

Hey everbody. I'm a total newbie and have got a RAM question:

My PC has:

AMD Processor + Fan Sempron 2500
Foxconn Motherboard Winfast all in one 3 PCI 8x AGP
DDR Ram 512mb 400mhz

( I copied this of my invoice)

and my Ram is saying it is 1.75GHZ and 480MB of Ram.
Is this because im using up alot of space or something or is there something worng?
Cheers,
Dan

You are wondering about the discrepancy between 480 Mb of RAM versus the 512 you were told you'd be getting in your system?
The "missing" 32 Mb of RAM is in-fact being used by your on-board graphics card and as such is not available for use by other applications. If however, you bought a graphics card and put it in your computer, it would come with its own memory built in and these 32 Mb would be freed to give 512 Mb available for system use.

If it's onboard video card, you can't pull it out. Well you could, but I wouldn't
If you get a AGP card, you will probably have to disable the onboard video card in the BIOS.

Yeah. When you've got the money for a new graphics card, come back and we'll walk you through buying the right one and then fitting it in to your computer etc.
