Ram Timings

have a a matched pair of corseir 2x512 in my system i am trying to get them to run at ddr 400 speed when posting it says they are in dual channel at 266 how do i do it in my bios i ahve the same board as in my specs please help

the system isAsus P4P800 E Dlx-INtel P4 2.8c-2 x 512

You have to find the page with the memory settings, often by highlighting and opening an option that is "Auto" it will have a "Manual or Expert" mode that will unlock some of the settings.

This article with bios pics should be similar to yours, have a look there.

Thank you that was very helpful fianlly got it running properly i have got 2.8c over clocked to 3.36 at the moment and my temps on board are 24c and cpu are 22c inwhich is extremly good if i do ay so myself the timmings on the ram are 2-5-3-3-8

Also good idea about the Benchmark Challengebut I am not ready for that but will be keeping an eye on scores
