Default Overclocking 4GB on DFI Lanparty Expert

Evidently, on this board, the RAM's max when occupying all 4 slots is 333MHz.

Is there any way to push the FSB past 200Mhz (166MHz 5/6 divider)?

I tried the 270MHz FSB I was running with 2 sticks and used the 3/5 divider which would put the RAM at 324MHz but, that wouldn't run.

I may not be using the divider properly, so any help would be appreciated.

Here's a screenshot of my ram timings. I left everything at the default "AUTO" setting or whatever showed up with using the "Optimized defaults" setting. FSB=200, Multi=9 FSB/RAM Ratio = 166 (5/6)

I'm trying to get a overall clock of 2500MHz or so.

Please Help!! TIA!!

2T

And DFI 939 boards don't like four slots full. Try and find a nice set of 2GB sticks, althogh hard to fnd, and probally expensive. It's one of the best performance ways to go.

Have you noticed a real lag in anything @ 33MHz?

I'm definitely running at 2T (CPC disabled is the BIOS setting)

There's no real "memory performance" lag but, my CPU was previously running at 2700MHz and now I can only run it at its stock 1800. That 500MHz hit is definitely noticeable.

That's basically what I'm asking. Is there any way I can bump up my overall clock while keeping the memory at a functional level?

PS-I've been looking for 2GB single sticks of DDR RAM and I can't find them anywhere. Are they even made?

Okay

You timings in that pic is horrid. What kit did you buy? (open CPU-z and go to the SPD page, take a screenshot of each stick.)

I would take the timings the kit says, and the speed and punch them in manually.

If it runs @ 333MHz (166MHz) then it should run @ 324MHz (162MHz).

keep me posted we'll get you overclocking in no time.

CAS 4.5? That should't work on DDR1 at all. Infact all your timmings are messed up, just run 3-3-3-7 2T.

PS I havent used DDR1 for ages so I might not be the best person to give advise.

It can run 4.5, but i think the timings are wahts holding him back, Thats why i asked to see the SPD setup on CPUZ.

Those are results, DDR 460 looks good for 4GB

Can you get it back to 2.6-7 range with the newly found knowledge of ram and timings @ 4GB...?

I gave it a try but stability was directly effected.

I think I was able to get it to one step below 2.8 but I didn't think there was any big difference between the two and 2.8 was a nice round number.

Thanks for your interest and suggestions!!
