Cool Guide: cheap fibre glass

My dad showed me how to d othis for my model cars.

What you need.

Super glue-epoxy or any good strong glue..
Paper towels -napkins
paper plate or some thing to put the glue on
and last latex gloves... so you glue your hands together.

making it.

First: put a large amount of glue on the paper plate
Second: get a peice of paper towel (the size you want) and cover it in glue.
Third: Apply it to what ever you need and let dry.

Do over in till you get the shape you need.. sand it smooth and BAM! you have a cheap fibre glass.

Im not sure if its printable
Its pretty strong if you use super glue.. the only way to crack is with a hard hit from a hammer
And I would say paper towels are stronger

On steroids yeah, paper mache is usually done with PVA or standard all purpose white glue... not super glue

Ok..I give you an "A" for the idea..but a "D" for the execution and pics...lol

The fans, while functional, look like ass! (And not the good kind )

I bet if you take your time, and put more effort into it, your pics and mods will improve immensly!

(Tip, stand a bit farther back from your subject (Or put them on a table) if your camera sucks, you can always zoom in on it with photoshop or another editing program!)

I don't want to thread or idea crap on you, but you used in such a place where a putty or just straight up super glue would have worked just fine...

I recommend my method...DuckWarrior used it, so that means you will love it or be banned.

LOL yeah, you havnt either

Welcome Migit109 !!!!!

Ummm, great idea for a small project. But i would not recommend somone use this for an large application, like bezel fabrication...i just dont think its strong enough over time. I would call this extreme paper mache other than Cheap Fiberglass because fiberglass is.... well glass in is made for fabrication/reinforcement and realy isnt expensive, maybe $10 for a small kit.

-edit-
Gzim, nice trick. That i would see holding alot better as the small powder particals can get deeper into the applied serface w/ less air.
