First off this process is fairly easy and I'm sorry I didn't have the camera to take photos step by step but hopefully the next time I will. If anything needs a little clarification just let me know.
1) Start off by cutting your plexi glass down to size for the window your using. Or it may be perfect if youÂ’re going to mod the existing window.
2) Next up draw out your logo or design you wish to use. Then reverse the image so it looks backwards since we will be cutting the backside of the glass. Next up print out the logo and tape it to the front of the glass.
3) Now follow this guide to etching (
http://guides.pcapex.com/modding/k...g_technique.php ). But keep in mind, that you donÂ’t want to go to deep but make sure you go deep enough to see the indent when you paint it.
4) Now Paint the backside of the glass and paint the whole side including the etch (But DO NOT paint the front of the glass!!!). Make sure to lay down the paint with smooth even thin layers. Hold it up to a light to make sure you have a nice even coverage (you shouldnÂ’t see any thin spots).
5) Next up after the paint is dry grab the dremel and redo the etching and make it deeper. This will remove the paint and let the light shine through the logo. This is also why I said not to go to deep with the first etch, if you do it makes it difficult to get all the paint out of the etch. Once all the paint is removed install the window like you would any window (screws, Velcro, two sided tape, etcÂ…) and enjoy. There are many ways to personalize this technique. Try lighting with one color or multiple colors. Or you can use single line etchings, roughed areas, or both. Now get out there and makes something!!!
