| Apex Techie II  |  Re: PimpRig Tips Thread When using a gauge set on a computer cooling system, wrap the high side connection in cardboard when disconnecting it. The fluid inside is very irritating to the skin and it will spray out during disconnection. If a gauge doesn't move when connected, disconnect the hose and use a nipple cap (must be the type that has the adjustment prongs) to adjust the valve core depressor in the end of the hose. Adjust it only a little at a time. It should be just enough to move the needle. (Note that you can also buy special valve adapters if you work on the systems a lot. However, the good ones are pretty expensive.) | |
