I can answer that one - Yep!
The vinyl films stick really well - go and check out MNPCTech's website - his tutorial video is particularly good

I've personally used the film on my G15 keyboard:
Youtube link to part 1
Part 2
Part 3

Yes, you can buy the consumer size version of the tape I used in the video at Home Depot. You will find it in the aisle for Paint Supplies ie: Brushes & Masking tape.

cool vid bill! quick question, if using only a rotary tool, which is the best way or 'bit' for cutting round corners/bends etc??
i ask because i don't have a jigsaw at present and want to get my curves as precise as possible!

I use a Cutting Disc for pretty much every type of execution, but I'm also crazy.

I go into depth on how I cut Circles with a Dremel here

The real trick in getting clean cuts and corners is using a rounded side Hand File afterwards

Bill,

Should a member remove the Panel Locks before cutting the side Panel?
Sometimes they get in the way when making your cuts with a Gig saw

Plus I like the cardboard Box prop

Hey, I really appreciate your feedback. I always try to "give back" and share knowledge when my time allows me to. I enjoy seeing people get excited about Modding. I love it and try to spread the gospel of "diy or die" as much as I can

Thanks for this video. This is what inspired me to start modding. Im just starting my first entire case mod and hopefully all goes well. I couldnt find that tape though anywhere around me. So I got the #4011 double sided mounting tape. Its not clear but oh well it should work the same hopefully.

Yeah I checked at Home Depot because I figured they would have it but they dont have it here. So I dont know but it should work just fine even though its not clear. I just wont be able to use it on like mesh because you will see gray tape behind it. Lol.
