Default Gentoo: kdelibs blocking emerge

Well today I am greeted with a nice new error. I am so glad that linux is finding new ways not to work for me!

EXAMPLE!!!
mason@localhost ~ $ sudo emerge -av kscreensaver

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[blocks B ] kde-base/kde-env (is blocking kde-base/kdelibs-3.5.5-r5)
[ebuild U ] kde-base/arts-3.5.5 [3.5.2-r1] USE="alsa esd mp3 xinerama -artswrappersuid -debug -jack -kdeenablefinal -kdehiddenvisibility -nas -vorbis" 944 kB
[ebuild U ] kde-base/kdelibs-3.5.5-r5 [3.5.2-r6] USE="alsa arts cups ssl xinerama -acl -debug -doc -fam% -jpeg2k -kdeenablefinal -kdehiddenvisibility -kerberos -legacyssl -lua% -openexr -pertty% -spell -tiff -utempter% -zeroconf" LINGUAS="-he%" 15,159 kB [1]
[ebuild N ] kde-base/kscreensaver-3.5.5 USE="arts opengl xinerama -debug -kdeenablefinal -kdehiddenvisibility" 23,292 kB

Total size of downloads: 39,397 kB
Portage overlays:
[1] /usr/portage/local/layman/xeffects

!!! Error: The above package list contains packages which cannot be installed
!!! at the same time on the same system.

For more information about Blocked Packages, please refer to the following
section of the Gentoo Linux x86 Handbook (architecture is irrelevant):

Gentoo Linux Documentation -- Gentoo Linux x86 Handbook

mason@localhost ~ $ sudo emerge -av Microsoft Windows XP Super Virus Mega Pack (Linux Port)

Now I need to find out how to make things work again... I get this error with man other kde emerges.

Default Re: Gentoo: kdelibs blocking emerge

******UPDATE******
Well I got it up and running in about 10min of googling
" kde-env is not required (and is in fact incompatible) with the new kdelibs. Do "emerge -C kde-env" to remove kde-env and resolve these" - Re: [gentoo-amd64] Seamonkey vs Mozilla: pointless cage match

and also in the gentoo handbook it said to try and remove a conflicting package... but I did not want to mess up my system so I had to have some extra encouragement!
