| The HDD image is eerily similar to the one used in MacOSX. But in the future I'll visit this thread again, that is when I finally get to using linux a little. Edit: Is there a reason for why ATI has little to no support for Linux?Last edited by 4x0n; 22-October-06 at 01:21 PM.. | ||

| KDE eh? I have always been a gnome or fluxbox person myself. Here is a gnome native alternative. Sysinfo
OOH OOH I think I know this one. Nvidia releases their own video drivers for linux while ATI has released little driver versions for linux. They just dont find it important I guess, which is their loss. Last edited by Fatsobob; 27-October-06 at 04:00 PM..

I read somewhere that because of the AMD/ATi merger things will change for the linux users. No reliable source but hopefully there's some truth to it.

| I hate to bash a company that I've never directly dealt with, but ATI is like any hardware company. They'll code where the money is at. If they know that 96.8888% of the market share is made up of red-blooded Windows users, they'll disregard that 4.2222% made up by Linux/BSD users. It's a mindset of "Who cares about them?" Granted, we all know that Microsoft falsifies it's market-share reports. ![]() | ||
