Default Live CD problem

I think Ive found the OS Im going to run on project Beta. Knoppix. Anyway, I have a problem. Im currently on the net, and theres small text. Ive tried the CTRL- Mousewheel things, and it doesnt seem to do any justice.

How do I take a screen shot with knoppix to show what Im talking about? Does Print Screen still work? What are knoppix Cheat codes?

EDIT-DUH! I forgot, I tried Xubuntu before, and I had to change resoultions. But I cant change it to anything higher than 1024X768. I usualy run 1172X864 is there a way to change this?

I usually use Gimp to take screenshots. Is the problem that the resolution is too big/small? Or is it the text just in a browser, or the whole system? If you're using Knoppix, then it uses KDE as default desktop, so most of these settings should be configurable through the KDE control panel (kcontrol).

Yea I found that out last night, There was a program called Ksnapshot. The text in the browser is too small. And Its only in Firefox. I would Use Konquor, but PCapex doesnt work in that browser.

I installed Knoppix, now I cant open my f drive..(hdd1) I use to be able to open it when I booted off the CD, some how it forgot how to mount my HDD. I tried looking it up and it was no use. The drive is NTFS, and I know the latest kernal has NTFS support.

Whats funny is I no longer have windows installed, So what do I do?

First of all, to increase text size in Firefox, click "Tools" and "Options" and set the default size in there. It's in there, somewhere...

Second, to mount your hard drive once, you can type "sudo mount -t ntfs /dev/hdd1 /mnt/windows" after you've created /mnt/windows. It will be read-only, unless you use special write-capable ntfs drivers.

If you want to mount /dev/hdd1 every time, you should add it to the /etc/fstab file. Look in that file, and see how the entires are written, and add one for /dev/hdd1.

Its in the fstab file. Using your method I get an error saying "Windows Was not shutdown properly. Try to mount in windows and try again". But It sees the HDD if I boot from the Live CD...

This is what is in the fstab file:
/dev/hdd1 /media/hdd1 ntfs auto,users,exec,ro,umask=000,uid=Overclocked,gid=O verclocked 0 0

(The uid and gid were from another forum from searching google)

EDIT-I think Ive solved it, mount /dev/hdd1 works, I can browse via konsole. Hmm I thought I tried that. Right now, we are working on Getting it to work with the gui. I can browse it via a program, like Kuickshow, but when I use Konquor, I cant see sh|t lol

On my distro, only root has read priveliges on mounted NTFS partitions. Try running Konqueror as root and see if it shows up.

This problem is getting odd. Now Im trying to change the shortcut of the desktop so it points to the right thing. Its Currently at /mnt/hdd1. /media/hdd1 brings up a blank page. Now I change it to /mnt/hdd1 and it says Mount error "Only root can mount the drive" Open it in Konquor (as root!) and I get the error "Mount point does not exsist" (If I execute the shortcut in the desktop). But I can get to it by going to /mnt/hdd1 and I can see my folders...lol wtf?

I still have this one little problem. /etc/fstab keeps changing when ever I reboot. This is why whenever I restart, I have remount the drive manually. Is there a way to keep this from happening?
