| If you're new to Linux, I'd recommend trying some of the more well-known distros, like Ubuntu/Kubuntu, Suse, Fedora, or Mandriva. They all have great installers, but use different package systems. I've had good luck with using RPM-based distros and using the package manager "yum" but you may want to try something else. Another good idea is (if you don't have a spare computer to use) get a live CD distro to try out before you install it on anything. Suse, Ubuntu, Knoppix, Kororaa, and a few others will run straight from the CD and let you play around without screwing anything up. Let us know how it works for you! | ||
