| I was wondering if any of you know where I can find some. I've been all over google and I'm getting tired of looking. alsamixer gave me this info on my card (how do I use modprobe to see what sound card I have?) ┌──────────────────[AlsaMixer v1.0.9a (Press Escape to quit)]──────────────────┐ │ Card: ATI IXP │ │ Chip: Realtek ALC658 rev 0 │ │ View: [Playback] Capture All │ │ Item: Master Thanks for the help - Mason | ||

If alsamixer picks up your card then you deffinitely have the drivers installed. I have that same card in a bunch of my computers, it works fine without needing extra drivers/modules. Mess around with the switches and stuff in alsamixer or try alsaconf/alsaconfig as root. GiGaHuRtZ EDIT: Oh btw, modprobe is just to load modules which don't load automatically on startup by udev/hotplug/coldplug. lsmod will show which modules are currently loaded, and lspci will show you all the stuff that hooked to your pci bridge. ![]() | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
