Default Lost, need a some Linux FAH install help

I have been playing with Linux on some of my computers, now I am trying the Fedora 5. Love it so far, seems fast, but I cannot get FAH installed. Now, my Linux pimphand is very weak.

I downloaded the folding program, Linux 5.04 beta, then tried my usuall chmod +xFAH504-Linux.exe no such directrory or folder, can't remember. With SuSE, I just type that command in and then ./FAH504-Linux.exe and it works. No luck with this.

I see the folding program on the desktop, so what am I doing wrong?

All the hardware was found by Linux, it is a NFS-7 Mobo, 2600 mobile Athlon XP, 1x512 ram, ATI 9250 video.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Never mind, I got it working somehow! It never asked for my user name or team, so I changed the config file and saved it.

Have a good one.

E

for future reference, "./FAH504-Linux.exe -config" re-runs the first run configuration.

Default Fedora Core5 Linux for idiots like me?

I found out how I got folding running. I downloaded the program to the desktop, right clicked on it, gave it Execute permissions. Then I just double clicked on the desktop icon, which seems to start it, then went into my home folder and changed my config file to my name and team.

Don't get me wrong, I want to learn some cli commands, but I am really likeing this Distro! Shutdown and boot speeds are pretty dang fast compaired to Suse, and others I have had on the little 1.5GHz laptop. I have it one one borg, and a dual boot on my laptop.

Thanks for the replies! Have a great one!
