Default 64bit Ubuntu?

Am I just asking for a headache by installing 64bit Ubuntu? Or will it work right out of the "box"?

My previous experience with 64bit Ubuntu is that it works just fine, except when you want to use 64-bit firefox and try to view something Flash based, then it's a no go, as there wasn't any 64-bit Flash plugin at the time. The work-around was some cryptic way of installing a bunch of regular x86 packages and running regular Firefox. I ended up sticking with regular Ubuntu.

But that was like 1.5yrs ago so maybe things have changed.

I'ved got both 32 & 64 bit Ubuntu & also Sabayon but i only tried the 32 bit version for now & everything was working good "out of the box" & everything in my pc was detected & ready to use , that was so great.

i'm back to windows for now since i like my games & i'm not really good with Linux but at my next format i'll make dual boot windows 32 bit & linux 64 bit so i can learn more about linux & still keeping XP for my games

My experience with it was great. It was more stable for when I OCed the X2 to 2.9GHz than the 32bit one. And F@H ran smoother it seemed (at least a bit quicker).

I'm running 64bit LIVE currently on a MT-30 @ 2.6GHz and its just fine. My 1GB of RAM holds up the LIVE system Pretty well (especially the 2-2-2-5 timings) But I haven't ran into any problems, Running Gutsy 64bit LIVE, flash was installed in firefox when I booted up.
