id-Software's next graphics-engine "Tech 5" could possibly have no Linux support. This would go hand in hand with no Linux version of Rage - the new id-software game based on "Tech 5".

As written on Computerbase.de, John Carmack seems to have no interesst in porting the game-engine to Linux yet. Instead it is ported to XBox 360, Playstation3 and MacOSX!

This could after all be a rumor, since there is no official statement neither from id-software nor Carmack himself.

But if this turns out to be true, it would be very dissapointing for many Linux gamers and in some kind of way a bit stupid, since Unreal Tournament 3 will definitly be available for Linux.
After all the Quake series was and still is one of the most popular crossplattform game series.

So let's wait and see what will happen...
