Frets on Fire is a game of musical skill and fast fingers. The aim of the game is to play guitar with the keyboard as accurately as possible.
Since the end of August, a new version of Frets On Fire is out. With this new version, we can now import songs from GuitarHero! But this version brings also other important improvements like a new difficulty level, the support for songs with varying tempo and a gameplay more like GuitarHero because the score multiplier is now reseted when we miss a note.
Here is the complete list of the improvements since the last version:
- Added a Guitar Hero(tm) song importer.
- Fixed the key-release bug for long notes introduced by the previous version.
- Added support for joystick axes and hats.
- Added adjustable song delay in the editor.
- Improved song chooser to remember last played song.
- SDL_mixer and SDL_ttf added to Linux package to ease running on e.g. FreeBSD.
- Added custom color scheme support.
- Score multiplier now resets when notes are missed.
- Added new difficulty level and support for songs with varying tempo.
