hey all ! im new to this site i was looking around internet for some good computer modding site, and i bumped into this site and wow i love this site so i decided to register and im looking forward to being active on this site this site is the best w00t

oh yeah i just finished building a PC with spec:

Gigabyte GA-k8nsc socket 939
AMD athlon 64 3000+
PNY Geforce 6800 GT
OCZ gold series 1 gig 2.8v 2-2-2-5
Toshiba DVD R/W
Seagate 120 GB IDE xD ( this was newegg's faulttt i ordered SATA HD ) xD
2 thermaltake thunderblade 120 mm
1 artic cooling 80 mm
aspire X-plorer case




and i did some lil mod on my aspire case

i changed the mesh and replaced it with plexiglass and i painted it with UV paint, and put a 4" UV light on one of the bays.

and somehow i broke the temp sensor that came with the case, so i just replaced it with lights switches . so it would be easier if i want to turn the lights on or off

oh yeah and i need some suggestions on cable management i havent sleeved my ATX 20 pin connector. ehhe but i already ordered the pin removal

Have you attempted to Overclock that CPU a bit or run 3DMARK 05?

My 3000+ ran well over 2.6GHZ (Stock is 1.8)

Even with the stock HSF it was stable at 2.4ghz

Check out the AMD OC section if you need help, or if needed, start a new thread there and we can turn that puppy into a gaming Bull Dog

oo and about OCing no i havent, i have no experience xD ! oh btw this gigabyte mobo is new ! i had abit av8 and it died . i also have XP-90C heatsink xD but i just ordered the backplate for the motherboard



oh yeah how do u guyz think about the cable management in my PC? is it not bad, pretty good or OMGUSUCK xD. I need tips on cable management lol

It Looks OK...Could Be better, try to hide those wires behind the motherboard holder, behind the PSU. ANYWHERE thats not used (but dont block airflow, thats the whole purpose of making wiring neater..)

I don't know. All of the tools I could suggest are going to be more than $20. If you're set that you're not going to go over $20, then the best thing I can offer is time consuming but possible.

1. Draw the circle on the case with a compass.
2. Drill pilot holes along the edge of the circle (maybe a 1/32" between the holes).
3. Break and file and file and file.

Now that I got that outta the way.....
With such a limited budget I would recommend a case nibbler.

It'll cut thin steel, plastics or aluminum. Drill a 1/4" hole and nibble away. It takes a bit longer, but the advantage to this tool is the control you have.
I used it to cut a blowhole in the top of my Tsunami Dream, and there was no risk of scratching the mirror like paint finish ( I nibbled from below / inside) . Be careful to get rid of all the chips though. I would pull everything out of the case before starting.
