| Greetings all. It's JAFO here, on the road to my first mod. Haven't really modified a case before, and figured I'd mess around with it a bit this time around. I'm currently building machines for my wife and I...mine will be the project machine. Going to try my hand at watercooling and some mild overclocking, and I hope to find some ideas here for my modest attempt. Going to be looking for function more than form, but might throw some bling in there as well. Thanks for letting me soak up some ideas. peace, Aielman | ||

| I've been looking at the gallery. Some amazing stuff there. I'm not to worried about addiction though. I live in a 100 year old house with no closets and no garage, so I literally don't have the place to put the tools I'd have to buy, let alone a space to work in, (nor would the kids leave me alone long enough to get anything done)heh...so I don't think I'm going to be up for a rig of the week award anywhere. But I do enjoy reading the worklogs and listening to the truley inventive stuff people come up with. Some of this stuff is just amazing. I'm an old school server guy...I'm used to large enclosures and boring rackmounts, haha...hell, the first part of this project was buying a 2 post rack to put the new computers in. ![]() Note the TT Armor on the left...it has been replaced with a LL 7077b. The Armor is nice if you don't plan to do much with water cooling or use many of your front drive bays. Right now, it's just a good reminder about researching Before you buy, heh. Anybody want it, it's for sale on ebay right now, lol. My mod will be pretty straighforward. 3 holes in the top of my LL 7077b for a triple rad, and some work just below the PSU. I'm planning on partitioning off the top of the machine in sort of a reverse BTX idea to create a bit of a wind tunnel effect in the top and exhaust heat from both the rad and mainboard chamber. I'd also like to mount my drives up top, so I'll have to figure out something there. And I'm fascinated with the LCD screens using something like Samurize that I've seen on a couple of rigs. Nothing really that original. Luckily, I have an artist wife who, I just found out, has alot of experience with a dremel, so there might be some decoration I didn't originally plan, heh. We'll see how it works out. Again...thanks for the welcome. peace, Aielman | ||
