| hi.just another newbie learning the hard way i need major help.i overclocked my xp2600 on my k7n2 delta mb.everything was going sweet up to 190mhz.it gave me 2.17 ghz.then i did something really stupid and took the fsb up to 210mhz.now pc wont start.i only altered the bios settigs.i pulled the pc apart and did a visual on the cpu.i couldnt see any burn marks.i pulled out the cmos batt and psu and left it overnight before putting everything back together.still no go.i was told the cpu and mb might be locked after crashing.i checked the hdd on another pc and its fine(no loss of data).any help would be greatly appreciated as this stupid mistake has got me in the dog box with the wife(cant afford to replace anything) | ||

| Have you refered to your manual on proper instructions to clear the CMOS? That board has a jumper that needs to be moved after the battery is out, and then put the battery back in and switch the jumper back to the other settting. You said you took out the battery, but that does not mean it clears out the CMOS everytime. You would think it does, but I have had this issue before. Try this and get back to us if it did not work.
