What's the best box for an ASUS mainboard w/a AMD 64 Athlon and GeForce4 card? It's for my friend and he wants to build the greatest gaming system there is. oh, yea and what's a good CD burner for it too forgot that one

Are you talking about a case or do you wanna know whats the best equipment for gaming? Youll find that alot of peoples opinions differ on the components.....its like asking a group of guys what truck is the best....you get the idea. Anyways if your asking what case is the best, id have to say either antec or lian li for manufacturers and pretty much any model that they make.

I hate to break this to ya, your friend needs the DFI Lan Party SLI motherboard (Dual Video Cards) and a couple of PCI Express 256MB 6800 Ultras powered by an FX-55 to have the "Greatest" gaming rig.
Your looking at over 2,000$ just for those parts alone.

The Asus board is good, but not the ultimate for Overclocking and Gaming, and the G-Force 4 was a hot video card about 3 years ago

- Some fancy case as mentioned above
- 1.44 gold plated floppy drive
- 2x 30" Apple Cinema HD LCD monitors.
- Some facy designers keyboard and mouse....i dont think theres one that goes over $200.
- Custom made silver water blocks, 2x dual fan black ice rads, silver plated res and Hydor pump.
- 3 hoes, and a hand made pimp suit.


Oh yeh welcome to PR...and btw - Geforce4's are 2 generations old...we're on Geforce 6's now...and yes 4 is better, bigger and faster than 3 ...as 6's are to 2 "4's" put together...bet that will fool you

Its ok bro, now I know who you are on the forums I will look out for you so more (old friend from school who I bumped into the other night). If you have been out of PC's for some time thats cool, I will just have to teach you what the best new stuff is. Don't mind at all.

If you do say you are going to be down at Comp. R. then I will stop by during break and I can talk your head off. Maybe even get some of that gear ordered for your friend. As long as I get to do the tweaking/building of it I am more than happy!

Hmmm he should get danger den to build him a solid gold water block set. That would be pimp especially since gold is the best heat absorber out there, only thing is though he'd have to be careful since gold is an extremely soft alloy.
