I have been customizing computer systems for at least 15 years now. Just last year I discovered that this artform was larger than I thought....aka MODDING. My occupation is a graphic designer and sign builder for a local sign shop. From air brushed to hand carved to cnc shaped signs....I have done it all. The skills of a sign shop have created many many custom case designs....unfortunately none for myself. I am finially putting my old rebuilt rebuilt and rebuilt again PC on another desk for the wife to use (she hates the yearly formatting after over tweaking). The old PC started off as a 486 DX2....refitted to a P90....then to a P166...then i sits now at its Celron 700 state which was done 5 years ago now. Mostly just new graphics and carved front bezels as far as mods go with each rebuild.

Starting from scratch.....on the wifes enforced budget . Going the AMD 64/939/PCI Express line....not sure about FX yet due to cost. Even going to build a new desk. Picked up a newer generic $15 alum case at a local PC store auction. Already setting up a custom computer carved front design. Got tons of light bling supplies, metal fab, plexi/plastic fab, infinate graphic/paint at my hands so we will see where this leads to.

I am making pimprig my new home as the inspiration and technical knowledge found here are astounding. Have been rading through the forums for months now picking up ideas and tips.

Your LOCAL SIGN SHOP is the best way to get infinately custom apliques (lol we all laugh at the shop at that word..cause they are decals) Bring them your illustrator/corel vector artwork and get them to cut it out of vinyl glass etch.....$10 and 10 min time for a 10"x10" of any detail at our shop.

Where in wisconsin do you live? We've got a couple of pimps throughout the state here... If you want to get technical, I live about 20 miles south of Fond du Lac in a wonderfully dismal town called 'Lomira'. Absolutely boring. Nothing ever happens here, but for some reason we probably have proportionally more police officers than Milwaukee does... (just a guess, no actual proof )

Welcome to PR. I'm sure that some of the Pimps and Hoes here might take advantage of your shop's offer. Last time I priced one commercially, the starting price was $32.00 minimum.

lol the sig waz suposed to be the avatar....but cant find option to use custom avtars so put it in sig for now. Lunch time I will photoshop up a good PR sig.

Just check you phone book yeller pages for sign shops......get general quotes for Vinyl Glass Etch Decal of A" x B" size. If they more than $10-15 then tell them even canada prices are cheaper.

Provide your own artwork file though....we charge $30/hour for artwork.

Even cheaper ask them how much for that size and a piece of premask........but you will weed it your self. They may almost give it to ya unless they have a min charge like we do of $10. The weeding is the labour part of their job.

Weed=peel out all cut details. You then get the decal & mask.......weed the decal yourself.....rub the premask on the weeded decal.......remove decal and mask combo (stuck together now) then apply on project.
