Like many other wayward souls I found my way here clicking links on DIY sites....Spent most of the last year just reading the forums and seeing all there was to see. Think I've printed out every How-to article that JE and Dark Sam. have put out here.

But I digress, first post (second actually) should be about me introducing myself to the group.

Greetings from Winston Salem, NC. I am a self admitted computer/electronics technician/pack rat who has been working on various help desks for eleven years, teaching computers for 15 years, and built (as opposed to bought) his first computer about 9 years ago. Just got the go ahead to redo my case since wife is tired of looking at its Frankenstein-like qualities. (Just because it has an authentic smoky finish due to a house fire 3 years ago....) So, bringing out the steel and the welder to put together a new case, and just looking around for more inspiration. I've already got several ideas, plus have a few personal requirements that I just haven't found in an inexpensive standard case....

But anyhoo.... Thanks for listening....and I promise that all posts will be done in true help desk fashion. Well thought out, hopefully polite, mostly helpful, and with keeping all blistering commentary off screen.
