Im posting this becuase i joined this forum becuase i'm about to make a computer and im looking around and also im starting to learn a bunch soo thanks

if you want to help with deals this is what im interested in

Intel Core 2 Duo e6550

NZXT Lexa Blackline

evga 8600gts planning to sli later on

COOLMAX CXI-600B ATX12V 600W Power Supply

ocz gold ddr2 800 2gigs

EVGA -TR LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard

western digital 320gb sata

proably a 10-40 gig ide laying around to run my vista on it

any ideas on that and also is there any bonus's to what a said above about another hd

U8312_1337 showed me this site and now i'm HOOKED

First, Welcome to PC Apex!
Second, I was wondering what your budget would be for your computer / what games you plan to play (other than CS:S and 1.6 that is. DX10 games?)

The only thing that i see that you should not do is install Vista on that small drive. Vista is a pig of an OS (i run Ultimate...ugh) and with that little drive it is going to take forever to do anything.

For the Videocards, why not the 8800 320mb? I have 2 in SLI and i am maxed out on settings in Bioshock @ 1650 x 1080. Would be worth the extra coin to have it....

And Welcome to PCA! Looks like you have a good system there. I know you will enjoy it!

I was thinking about the 88gts 320 but then i figured out i didnt have enough money becuase it has to be 650 under AR so :/ the 86's will do me fine

I was planning to play crysis the new cod dont know if it is dx10?
bioshock maybe
any game just to see what settings i can run on it and see how it looks ^.-
also uhm ill be 3dmarking but thats not dx10

Welcome! A bigger HDD for Vista would be beneficial.

IDE isnt a good idea for a master HD, unless its the absoloute option at hand. 80 gig SATAs go for pretty cheap. I also know a guy selling one for a decent price I could talk to. Consider RAID as an option also. Some guys around here could also help you with some deals of their own.
