Default Wireless and Service Pack 2

Hey all...I have a Linksys WRT54G router ....Wireless G band.....
Roadrunner High Speed
Linksys WMP54G PCI nics in all the pc's
Computers are using Windows XP Pro (legit on both systems)
and Service pack 2

I can get online just fine with mine...no worries

But the other system can only get "limited or no connectivity"......
It connects just fine if I turn off the 128 Bit wep keys...But I don't want to do this...As my neighbor loves to steal my internet....

I am using the right key as its finding the ssid and sort of connecting...Just doesnt seem to pull a proper IP when using the WEP....

This seems to be a pretty common problem...I have already trolled the net and did my proper GOOGLE it...
Ran a fix from Microsoft and a REG hack that was to go with the Microsoft FIX....
Nothing has worked....

ANY IDEAS?

have you tired a IPRENEW and a DNS FLUSH? if ya right click on the network on the NIC and click repair, that might help, or if not then try the cmd prompt and do it from there

IPCONFIG /IPRENEW
IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS

EDIT: Thought oh this while in the shower....Try removing the network cards and uninstalling the driver and then reseat them!

BTW: Stereo, its /flushDNS. and i doubt doing a renew of the IP will do anything.

Digi, how far away if the wireless from the system.

Try reseting your Modem then Router. If your using cable all the IPs should be done automatically by DHCP. Also try setting up the IP manually. And there are a few options since you are using G you can use WEP or WAP. Try using WAP protection.

If your neighbour knows enough, WEP is not gonna stop them if they really want to get in. WPA is definately the way.

I had this problem with my wireless LAN, seems to have fixed itself and I cant remember what i did Sorry.
