Could I change my IP so people on the same DSL router so I could play online games against them at the same time.

Depends. If the game allows multiple real-world IP address connections it would work as long as you are running DHCP and NAT. If the game only allowed one connection per IP it would not work.

Wait, so, you are on a network on a router, and want to connect on the internet and play games with them? Just connect to the same server.

If it's something more complicated, try and explain it. Cause, really, there's no issue.

The only thing I could also imagine is that you want to start a server on one computer that's available for the internet, and have your buddies on your network connect to it. For that, simply forward the port (it depends on the game, and I have no clue so don't ask, check the documentation) that the game uses to your rigs internal IP address, then have your friends connect to that.

Most games will display the local server in the LAN list, even if it is a public server. I can't think of any games that won't.

What game are you trying to play?
