Unhappy Router Trouble - Give us a hand :)

Hi guys,

Ive been out from PR for a while now but hopefully i can stick around now back to the point, Ive installed a new router a Netgear DG843 and now im having trouble connecting to certian sites such as Ebay, www.OverClockers.co.uk ect here is the story, First i installed this router a while ago i had this SAME problem but it fixed its self, I dont know how :S, but i had to reinstall windows so i did so and now i cannot connect to MSN messenger and the sites as stated above and others, Does anyone know why? and how i can fix this?
A few specs on the computer ect: Both computers have Win XP, Master is SP1 and 'Slave' is SP2 and its the slave computer im haviing trouble with.
I know its a bit vauge but if you can suggest a few things that would be great.

Thanks in advance

It sounds like the security settings in SP2 have blocked the ActiveX controls those sires use to provide their functionality. You can try putting one of those sites in your Trusted Sites in IE and see if that clears things up for that site. If it does, try adding one site at a time until everything in peachy-keen.

I had a similar problem with my Linksys BEFWS411 where I would try to connect to a Counter-Strike server or a Steam server with a Blitzz wireless USB adapter and it wouldn't let me, though I could play UT2K4 and Need For Speed: Porsche Unleashed just fine.

Thank's for the help guys, I found out what it was; I had an incorrect MTU size all I had to do was change it to 1400
