| Apex Tech Fanatic | I still remember when my school first got internet access, when I was in 6th grade. I think it was lycos that had a page where you could see queries in real-time. That was disgusting. Some of the things people looked for should have gotten them arrested. Overall, I've noticed that many people don't bother with the address bar, they just type the subject of what they want into a search, and click through to what they want. Even if they want ebay.com, they'll have a homepage, and enter ebay into a search box. ![]() | |

Sadly, that is how a lot of people I am in contact with use the internet. Sample search entries: "I want to go to ebay." "show me my hotmail" "I want to order x-mas presents" | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| when you think about it typeing ebay into google when the cursor is alreay flashing in the box is faster than going up to the address bar and highlighting the google part then typing ebay. some would even have the habit of hitting the delete key first. then what if you highlight the wrong part. now if its already in the address bar or inyour favorites thats alot different than if your on a foreign computer that has google as the homepage. it is sickening how people are obsessed with celebs. i guess it just goes back to the wolf pack instincts. i dont like how people refer to the internet as a place. | ||
