| Apex Tech Fanatic Supreme | I did it, not sure if I did it correctly though I rememeber seeing some sites say this page took "X" time to load. I wanted to find a site that has that to test it but I dont know where to go. Last edited by danbanger; 20-December-04 at 05:58 PM.. | |

| Duplex had a thread about doing the one where you make it render automatically instead of after 250 ms, I did that way back when, and am still using it. Of course, with dialup, not noticing that dramatic of a difference, but regardless, that link had plenty of good other tweaks for dealing with tabs and whatnot that I like. | ||

I thought you would ask.... That's ok, I stalled long enough to read another thread or 2 in my catch-up time. I also added the Speed Up Page Rendering code (right above Enable Pipelining), Specify the memory cache usage (changed to a higher value to let the RAM help out) And non-speed related: Change the Activity Indicator URL | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| 1) In your Firefox addy bar, type in about:config 2) Create new Boolean value 3) Type in config.trim_on_minimize 4) Change value to False. 5) Restart Firefox. This will speed up the maximizing of Firefox, which supposedly uses lots of RAM. Note: Setting this item to "false" may noticeably slow down other applications while Firefox is minimized, if your PC has less than 256 MB of RAM. If so, change the setting back to "true." | ||

| Sweetness, your like a performance-messiah, ye' allmighty GlitterKill! FireFox is amazingly quicker now. To add complement to conquerage, my prize Ultra 600W PSU arrived today and i'm quite impressed. I don't know what to say, you're the bomb, GK. You're truely the bomb. | ||

| Yeah I did that same thing a few weeks ago and it works great. I used this article: http://www.tweakfactor.com/articles/...oxtweak/1.html And this extremely longass thread at the mozilla forums: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewto...age=15&start=0 | ||
