How many wifi clients before bottlenecking!

It will be interesting to know if there have been any tests that detail how many wireless clients can actively maintain decent throughput via a wireless router.

We all know that they can assign some 256 addresses, but how many can actually maintain decent throughput via any soho wifi router?

The most I have ever run at once was 15 clients without too much lag
