1.7GHz Pentium 4's come in williamette core only meaning that you cannot use any Intel 865/875 motherboard because the v1.75 voltage is
not supported. The
FSB of 400MHz on the 1.7GHz P4 is also, not supported.
Scavenger, its spelled Abit IC7 MAX-3

. Other than the fact that that board is overkill, the IC7 will not support a 1.7GHz P4 as the core/voltage and
fsb is not supported.
533/800 Front Side Bus are the supported speeds on Intel 865/875 chipsets.
For a processor such as yours, you should get an Intel 845 or SiS648 based motherboard such as the
Abit BH7 ( $79 @ NewEgg.Com ) or the
Abit SR7-8X ( $64 @ GoogleGear.Com )
Personally, I would just upgrade to a better
cpu and get an Intel 865-based board, but thats just me.
