Default best oc everyone

ok everyone lets copy amd's thread, post your best OC's, ever!
Ill start it off, i OC'ed my friends pentium 4 1.6 northwood to 2.1 ghz. i was afraid but he said it was ok. I guess its useless if he dosnt overclock since he has 10 fans in his rig and he never wants to overclock. Now hes happier than ever.

hey guys as long as ur talking bout pentium 2's i have a dual pentium 2 sitting around. Each is at 300. think i could get it to 500 each? That would be 1 ghz on a pentium 2. that would be awesome.

Depending on the board, whatever BIOS settings for FSB, multiplyer, voltage. This board of my friends, can run p3's on a riser card as well, so technically its a transistion board from p2 to p3(via a ppga socket riser card).

This baord as options for manually setting the multiplier to 7x I beleive, upping the voltage to almost 3volts, and a fsb up to 100mhz. Unless you can find a dual board with those options, that sadly, you wont get to 500mhz.

Only if your motherboard, supports it. It might with a BIOS upgrade.

like flashing the bios? man thats acient mobo. It would be great if i could. I belive i can overclock the fsb and multiplier but no voltages. Do you think i can oc a 300mhz pentium 2 to 500 mhz without voltage changes?

P4 2.80c / 3.50 (14 x 250)

temp = stock 33-48c / oc 35-52c

mb = Asus p4c800-e Deluxe
ram = twin Corsair cmx512-4000 (500 mhz)
vcard = Radeon 9800 pro 128mb (oc 445/370)
case = Thermaltake 2000a
hsf = swiftech mcx4000 / TT duct mod / TT smartfanII

The rig runs 100% stable, and very fast. Doubt many AMDs would performe much better

P4 2.4C @ 3.6GHz (12x300MHz vCore=1.575)
But I run at stock clocks unless I am going to run Doom ]|[ Demo or something extremely intensive.

Hawk, on a 2.4B? That clockspeed is possible but the fsb of 300 is not possible on the 2.4B...surely you mean 2.4C?

My P4 2.8 -3856. Temp is right around 48-50. It is water cooled so that is how I can get the nice temp for that overclock. I am looking into overclocking my 9800 but don;t know to much about it.

mot: first of all, dual cpu's dont double the speed. 500x 2cpus doesnt = 1000mhz. On to the second point, yeah, you can overclock on a doal board just as easily as on a single board. (see below) If you cant in the bios, which is most likely because most dual cpu boards dont have OC options, then software OC it with something like CPUFSB.

As for me, I have dual slot1 800's running stable at 1Ghz. each. The hghest i've ever got them is 1.1Ghz, but that was with all kinds of room fans and ducting etc, and it wasnt exactly stable. Still, thats a 138% OC. To match me on a 3.0C you'd have to run it at 4.14GHz, and im using HORRIBLE air cooling. Not too bad i think.
