| Well I've got some new parts coming in. I just bought Cpt.Planet's Intel Core 2 Duo E6300 and Intel D975XBX "Bad Axe" mobo. I'll be shopping for some kickass DDR2 memory for the next week or 2. 2 gig minimun. I've got to save up a little more cash, while I don't want to waste money, price won't be a determining factor. We'll see how fast I can get this thing to run. It should scream if I've got anything to do with it :-) | ||

Awesome dude! ![]() Grab yourself some corsair or crucial RAM and OC the bejesus out of it!!! ![]() I've just upped my mobo to a 975X chipset (with my presler) and was considering conroe (I'll be working for an importer in 2 weeks, so everything will be even cheaper than it is already!) but I think I'll wait for the quad core puppies later in the year / early 2007 (as well as leaving a little time for the current chipsets to mature) You're going to have a MONSTER on your hands though! ![]() Don't forget to post some results!

That's what I would use if I was looking for a new kit, from what I have seen they are looking very good. EDIT: This is also damn good ram, Team Xtreme DDR2 667Mhz 3-3-3-8, I've bought from Tank Guys before and never had any problems. http://www.tankguys.biz/ddr2-3338-p-1676.html Last edited by EvilClown; 21-July-06 at 02:50 PM.

Cool well I will be busy this whole weekend and week and this was the only time I coulda really gotten it out. Check our some DDR 600 or DDR800. It should run 3ghz 24/7 easy. When you get the board and memory I will PM you with my number and try to help you walk through getting it all set. Woot 2500 posts.

Great. Hopefully I won't need much help :-) But you are one of my Hero's. I can't wait til they get rid of that probationary status :-) I sold my 2nd 7800GTX card to my brother. He still has to pay me. He will, may be a month or 2. My plans are memory, fixing my Vapochill, and what ever it takes to get (2) Nvidia X2 cards running :-) Woot, Woot on the 2500th's posts :-)

| Well I'm looking at this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146565 and this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820146563 but I don't see why I shouldn't just go for this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145033. I'm also wondering about a heatsink until I get my Vapochilled fixed. And as far as that goes. Am I gonna have to modifiy the Vapochill to get it to mount to his mobo? I'll probably just have to wait and see. It's starting to feel a lot like Christmas :-) | ||

Those RAM kits are good, but the G.Skill is just as good and alot cheaper.

| EvilClown already recommended Team Group for your DDR2 needs, and I have to say, ive seen some very impressive results with those Conroe and Allendale chips next to Team Group modules. I believe a good percentage of the Top 10 SuperPi 32M benchmarkers used Team Group modules ![]() If you're looking for proper high end, you should check out this shiznit... not sure if TankGuys stock it tho... | ||

| Well I think I'm gonna get the Corsair PC8500. The Team Xtreme is tempting but when I upgrade pass this engineering sample (cpu) I'll be looking for maximum fsb. I think it (memory) will be good for a few upgrades. I'll be ordering my memory later this evening, if someone has a good reason why I shouldn't go w/ the Corsair please speak up soon. Or forever hold your peace. HeHeHe :-) | ||

The crucial ballistix 2 gig PC8000 and the Corsair will run just about the same. I personally would go with the Crucial. I reviewed it on that board. If you were to volt mod for the memory you could def push that Crucial past 1100 easy. I was running the Crucial at DDR1050 at like 5 4 5 10 on that board.
