I actually just picked one of these up, I should have some results with it by this weekend using my E6600.

I don't want to thread jack, but this new EVGA 680i board is a killer. I threw in my E6600 tonight, and imediately set it to to 3.2Ghz in the bios, and set the vcore to the stock 1.35. It does it without a sweat on the stock HSF. I'm deffinitely glad I chose this board, I was going to get another DS3 after my last one died from condensation under phase.

My only gripe is something is quirky with the floppy drive controller, and it gives me an error everytime on boot, and I don't even have my floppy hooked up. And even when the controller is disabled it still gives errors. So each time on boot I have to press F1 to "continue". I'll have some benchmarks up tommorow (today actually) hopefully, with just a single BFG 7900GS OC. Right now I only have Linux on it, so I have to get around to putting Windows on it.

Well, I kind of got rid of the floppy drive problem. Without a floppy drive plugged in it still gives errors, but come to find out the cable is bad. I also talked to EVGA, and they said they are releasing a new BIOS for the board later today or tommorow.

I installed windows a little while ago, but am about to reformat it again. I decided to throw in my other 250GB Samsung SATAII drive so I can have Raid0.

Sweet

I've been on and off the phone with EVGA all day, there is quite a few bugs in this board that have yet to be worked out. I got the chance to actually talk to one of their "engineers", he was a nice guy and we were talked about fixing some things in the BIOS etc. A new BIOS was released today, I haven't really noticed any improvements with it though. So far I am up to 3.6Ghz on this board just leaving everything at AUTO and jacking up the FSB and MEM speed.

I've got some Swiftech Video cards blocks that I have to do a review on.
So when my new mobo get's here I'll be running a couple 7800GTX's
instead of my 7950GX2 (temporarily). Here's a pic :-)

Well I've got my new EVGA 680i mobo and without much of
a fuss I've got my E6300 running at 3.2 GHz on air :-)

The main problem I'm having with this mobo is SLI driver
support. The 93.71's shutter , run slower than a single card
and won't oc. The 91.47's work but I can't oc the cards with
coolbits. RivaTuner works but I'm still not getting a decent oc
even though the gpu temps are in the 38-42C range under
load. I've tried some of the older drivers but they don't recognize
the mobo as supporting SLI. I hope Nvidia kicks out a good driver soon :-)

I was gonna hook up the phase-change but there isn't much room
between the socket and some of the cap's and resistors. I'm sure I can
insulate it but I don't want to risk it until I get this Swiftech review done :-)

Why not use the drivers that work and OC with the latest ATI tool?

I am, only I'm using RivaTuner instead of ATiTool.
But I think the drivers are holding the OC back.
Right now the gpu core is only ocing to 500 mhz,
a mear 30 MHz boost. The memory is ocing to
695 which is a 95mhz boost. But the memory was
doing that already.
