Ya know, considering how much you'll be dropping for the video cards and GPU, I am a bit surprised you didn't go for a 6400 or better.

Considering the cooling you are getting, I still think your going to have problems getting much over the 3GHZ wall Planet hit, cause 7x400=2.8GHZ, and 7x500=3.5GHZ, and I am not sure if that Axe board is up for 500FSB.

Maybe it's time to give the CPU the "Boot" soon...lol, and sell it and put it towards/save up for that juicy 6600 with that porky cache and decent multiplier, they are hovering around the 350$ mark now...and dropping all the time...thats the one I'd be getting If i went "To the Darkside"

Not that it's a kick butt setup compared to AM-2 or 939, but It seems like there are lots of mid range/higher end Conroes in the 3.5-3.8GHZ range on air cooling....with that phase, I see 4+GHZ with ease!

Congrats on that 7950, that is one hell of a single slot card ya got there!

Oh, and Happy Birthday!

I bought the E6300 and mobo together as a package deal. I figured it would
be something to play with for awhile. I'll be upgrading the mobo 1st and then
I'll get a faster cpu. Soon. I thought about doing it now but the video card will
give me all the parts I need to reassemble my X2 4800 :-)

Well my new card has come in. I've ran 3DMark06
and I've got a new personal high. With the old X2 4800
and (2) 7800 GTX's I scored a 8289 with everything
stressed to the limit's. Now I've scored a 8304 with the
video at stock speeds and Quality settings. I followed it
up with a 8819 with a little tweaking. Futuremark says
Nvidia's newest drivers are unapproved so no links. I
hate Futuremark's Bull Crap.
Here's a couple pic's :-)

Well I ran a few more benchies today. 3DMark05 wasn't really
impressive. 13760, I've ran better with my X2 4800 setup. However
3DMark2001SE was quite impressive. A new personal High Score.

Scores should really increase when you get that E6300 clocking a little better. Better cooling and voltage sould do it.

Well I've got a couple new Cooler Master Heatsinks to review for HardwareHell.
Maybe one of them will perform better than what I've got going on now. If not
then I'll just wait for my new Phase-Change unit to arrive and I'll be shopping
around for a new mobo. Suggestions are Welcome by the way :-)

Those are some nice results man. If you had better cooling on the northhbridge you could push it further. Whats next on your list of new hardware man?

Well I'll probably spring for a new mobo 1st. I'm looking at the Asus NForce SLI board. My new
Phase Change unit should be here soon. Then it's either a faster cpu or a 2nd 7950 GX2.

I would if I could. But I'm a Forum Moderator at another site and we've got the hwbot running 2.
And I actually payed for it. I guess I could do both but I'd feel like a cheater.

Well I see Digital-World is on fire today. Not only did I get my new Phase-Change
but $Solid$ got one as well :-) I need to get some neoprene and a temperture
readout for the probe. Plus I'm gonna get a new mobo before hooking it up.
This Intel mobo is already maxed out without the xtra cooling. But it's coming.
For some really coooool super cooling go here and sign up for the video feed.

Damn the man!

Oh well...anyways, I have seen your phase in action before, I am sure you will ber VERRRY pleased with it's performance!

That 2.8GHZ OC, do you think it's got much more headroom in it with the new cooling?

Have (Or can you?) dropped the multi and maxed out the FSB on the Axe board?

I've been thinking about trying to raise the multi to get
some more out of it. But
