Need lotsof info on the 2.4Ghz C

i have heard about an Intel 2.4ghz model C, and that it will OC to 3.2 GHZ. I am looking for as much information out there and want to know what it would take to do this. Thanks for the help.

tekxoid uses normal air cooling and hes oced it to 3.4 he told me he brought it to 3.8 but wussed out and brought it down

im using a slk-800 (U) and ill prolly oc it if theirs a noticable dif in my pc.

U do know multiplier is fixed and wont change so ull have to fsb change it im sure u know that... its locked on 12 so if u wanna oc it ull have to switch the fsb

thats all i know

Yeah talk to TEK and check tomshardware guide and the overclockers club.

Yup that chip rocks. Have a look at www.overclockers.com - they have a cpu database that can help you find good batch numbers.

All the beauties come from Malasyia

- batches starting L3

You will have a lot of fun with that chip - its pretty forgiving!

hawkye's got his running at 3.6 very stable (on WC) and zenzzo was talikin about some guys doin it easily on air
the 2.4 it seems could be easily clocked to 3.2 on air- and its the cheapest of the 800mhz bunch- so you'd end up with about about a 670 dollar cpu- for 190 bucks- not bad- and and people were trying to tell me amd had more bang for it's buck- to OC a athlon in that price range would require major cooling- and not get as high- P4s forever (just keep overclocking them, never accually upgrade the proccesor- until say- the year 4001)

I almost got it to 3.8, but it went sour after like 3 hours. Back to 3.6 it is!
