In anticipation of the wave of people who will probably be making a switch to the "Darkside" or for those considering upgrading there current Intel rigs in the near future, I thought it would be a good idea if everyone could report in here with your final OC results.

This will help others who may not have time to search through the archives, feel free to link to any worklogs or OC threads you have started elsewhere in the forums that may be relevant.

Hahaha I'm really glad Intel is back on top again... not because I hate AMD (my main rig has had both AMDs and Intels over the years... I just get what is best at the time and roll with it until I decide to upgrade again [currently its an overclocked Intel as per my sig]) but I am just tired of people telling me that Intel is crap and will always be crap compared to AMD. w00t for Conroe!

Well Conroes are all over the place now. Anybody have any results?

Big Akita and possibly Slaymate have Conroe systems on the way...I think most people are not quite ready to upgrade there Opty/AMD-64 rigs at this point, I think we will see quite a few of them show up by Christmas though.

Hoping for a Conroe in my stocking! .....and you know...a compatible, overclocking, enthusiast board....(big stocking is a prereq.)

Im trying to get another one myself. I dont know when though but soon.

I have a gut feeling that the new 65nm AM2 chips will have something up their sleeve when they (hopefully) reach the shelves by XMas.
That 4400 with 2 x 1MB cache looks nice.

I agree, as thats what I'm planning to do. Hopefully get a nice new computer by Christmas, though all I really need is the CPU and Motherboard.

Also, I think that the boards are bound to just get better. RD600 boards are supposed to be really good, and I reckon that Intels next top end chipset (i985X, I think) should give some competition. I really want a good DFI board aswell...

Yes, I see that as one of the major problems right now, you choices are limited to ASUS or Intel right now for overclocking, DFI will have something worth owning for the hardcore overclocker pretty soon

Also Conroe chips themselves are in high demand with limited supplies, so the prices are not very friendly...that should go away in a few months, plus a few more models should be out by then that will flesh out the lineup

CPU Killer, those are some pretty wicked scores..Zaltan was right on, posting them in the HWBOT threads will realy help bring up our team average!

The DFI Infinity 975x board supports Conrizzle For Shizzle Nizzle Dizzle and it rockizzle and ocs better then the asus and intel offerings.
