| Im thinking its because I have duel bios I have a P4 2.4 and a Gigabyte mobo, GA-8IG1000 Pro In EasyTune4 this is what I set things to. -245 system bus -pci Frequency 40 -AGP Freq 81 -Dram Freq 490 -linear mode -AGP voltage 1.5 -Dram Volt 2.6 -CPU volt 1.525 Now, When I go into Bios, it looks like this. What should I be turning up? And how Far? CPU host Clock control - Disabled x Cpu Host Freq. (mhz)- 133 x AGP/PCI/src Fixed - 66/33/100 Memory Freq For - [Auto] (changable to 1.33, 1.66 or 2.0) Memory for (Mhz) - 400 Agp/PCI/SRC Freq (mhz) 66/33/100 DIMM overvoltage control - [Normal] (changable to +.1, +.2 or +.3) Agp Overvoltage control - -[Normal] CPU Over Control - [Normal] (changable to .08375v-1.76v) 1.525v Thanks for any Info | ||

| Well, Easy Tune has an advanced setting and a Easy mode. In easy mode, you just turn up the bus, and it adjust everything else. From there I'll change it back to advanced mode and save the setting...But it doesnt work... Im just wondering what top turn up in my bios. Do I just turn up the Bus speed/Cpu host frequency? Or do I need to turn up soem voltage stuff too? | ||

| WOA WOA WOA are you fukking insane?!!?!? There is no whay no how that you can jump your fsb from 133 to 245!!!!!! JEEEEZUS...*settles down* Now from my experience......Easytune is BS.....You need to do it in the Bios...I had a GA-8eixp and easytune was bs..... also...NEVER overclock like that.....go at the MOST in increments of 2 (ie 133 135 137 139 141) even then you will prob get kernel errors and bluscreens.....gigabyte mobos simply arent that good for oc'ing When you are in the Bios go to voltages...set it to manual....change you fsb up SLOWLY and save every time you leave...let it boot ALL the what thru windows before you try the next increment.. AIm me if you need more direct help: prplehazedremer .....jeezus...from 133 to 245 what a noob (no offense...hope my post helped) Edit: I just calculated...thats a driect overclock from 2.4 to 4.6...it is quite simply impossible... | ||

| Calm down nikon, its an obvious typo, he went from 133MHz to 145MHz, not 245MHz if it isnt a typo I will eat my shirt because that speed is just not possible on a 2.4B. Windows based overclocking utilities suck anyway, set it in BIOS, list all the settings in the "Frequency/voltage control" menu and post them here so we can tell you what to set them to and your range of attainable overclocks are ![]() | ||

| Sorry my bad... That stock Bus is 200... It automaticly switches to 133 when you go manual(200 auto). In Easytune I have to crank it up to 245 to get 2940 mhz. But that ovbiously doesnt work...like I said, cause it doesnt save. My P4 is 800 fsb... I'll try what Nikon said... But what about all the voltage settings? AGP/DRAM/PCI and memory voltage? Its there, not sure what to do with it?!? | ||
