Default New P4 3.4GHz Rig - overclocking suggestions?

Hello everyone, I just put together my new computer after selling my SFF Shuttle (SB83G5). I'm considering an overclock and would like to hear your suggestions.

SPECS:
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 550, 3.4 GHz, 1MB L2, 800 MHz FSB, Socket LGA775, HT cooled with Zalman CNPS7700
MOBO: Asus P5GD1-VM
MEMORY: OCZ PC-3200 DDR400 Enhanced Latency Gold Edition 1GB (2x512MB) Dual Channel Kit CAS2
VIDEO: ATI Radeon X700 PRO 256MB cooled with Thermaltake CL-G0003 Fanless VGA Cooler
STORAGE: 36GB SCSI 10,000RPM Fujitsu Primary, 80GB 7,200RPM Western Digital
CASE: Antec Sonata II (duct removed)

TEMPS (idle):
CPU: 50C
Case: 36C

I don't know my temps at load, but after 4 hours of BF2 @ 3.6GHZ & 850MHz FSB, CPU temp was 68C.

That seems a bit on the hot side (68c) even for a Prescott core!

People are getting between 3.6-4GHZ with good air cooling, So you have room to go if you can get the temps down a bit.

The Zalman should be doing better than that, did you put too much Thermal Paste in there?

It should be about the thickness of a sheet of paper, I use Arctic Silver 5.

How about the case flow? might need some more fans, or higher output versions.

I use SpeedFan to monitor temps, there is a neet little graphic charting tool that you can look at after your done gaming that will let you know the peak temps.

Here is a screenie of my CPU voltage, the temp graph looks similar though.

Question

I used Arctic Silver 5 on the CPU;

I've seen this processor in the mid 80's before, and the system was still running fine
I have no idea why the Prescott gets so hot, but I called Intel, and they said that's within the operating temperature range...

So I guess I shouldn't overclock it then? UGH... but the OCZ EL Gold's!! They're just begging for more juice!
