The H/T is not working!!! So i check my bios and its turned on and everything is fine.. What the HECK am i missing? Is my board damaged? The thing is i seen this chip on my friends board and i seen it H/T fine. He primed it and i watched it say 50% while primeing... PLSSS HELP!!!

Click the "Performance" tab. Your game is using one CPU @ 100% (50% total) and the other apps are using the other CPU (100%, 50% total) . That would bee 100% of your available CPU power. On the performance tab you should see TWO CPU usage history graphs. That means your HT is working.

Whay OS are you running, just to make sure?

Well i figured it out guys. When i first install my os after format i TWEEK THE CRAP out of it. I have like 15 reg entrys i use and one of them are for increase cpu priority and core preformance. Thats what did it, Somehow it disabled the H/T. So i just formated again and thats when i figed it out. Thanks for all your time pimps

Matt

Wow, how did you get much of an oc? Just curious, cuz I've got the same board (deluxe edition) w/ a p4 3.0 pressy in it. It's not oc'd, but I'm considering it.

XP Home support only 1 Physical CPU, it supports up to 32 logical however. HT would be considered logical.

Thats odd - I had a completely fresh XP Home install when I switched from my 2.4 celeron to my 3.2 prescott HT and I could not get two processors to show until I did a reformat. I figured if I was going to do a reformat I might as well put Pro on.

These pressys overclock like a Mbarton As long as you got some good ram to back it up.. This TCCD works wonders 2-3-3-6 at 240 FSB 2.85V if i had a tad bit more voltage to feed the ram im sure i could drop the timmings down a lil or push the ram a lil higher, The CPU is NOT ready to stop just yet. I had it at 4Ghz at 1.5V and benched in sandra scored almost a 6000 PR.

So far i like this intel. BUT im sorry im still AMD at heart

thats because xp uses a diferent processor kernal for single and multi proccessor computers, and the only way to get the different kernal, you have to reinstal.

Well thats tru to in extent... I have a tweek that will make a multi cpu to one.... without reinstal.. Say your running a P4 with H/T and dont wanna run it anymore.. LOL "like this would happan" but just use the tweek and it disables H/T through the OS..
