If your upping your FSB without locking your PCI/AGP your playing with fire......you could very well hose that nice graphics card of yours.......stop till you get the proper equipment.

Well I dont know of a specific board but anything by a well known maker would be a serious improvement.

Try out an Abit IC-7 Max3 if you can afford one. You can probably get one in the $150 range. I had a good experience with a Gigabyte i865pe board that I got from NewEgg refurbished. I think I paid $50 for it and it would overclock better than some of the other high dollar Intel boards Ive dealt with. Heres that Gigabyte board I had: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...2E16813128231R

When you turn up the clock speed, are you also turning up the voltage? When you say that you lose the internet connection, is it just the connection, or the whole Ethernet port completely? I would say that your board is overheating, or the PS isn't putting out enough power.
