Intel Mobo and 3ed party programs...

I've been looking into overclocking my computer (trying to fold just that much faster) but I've heard for my hardware its impossible.
From what I've been told, intel motherboards cannot be overclocked through bios. I've looked through mine, and the only section remotely related to OCing is somthing called "clock frequency". Im running an Intel D95XCVI, 800MB FSB with HT.
I've also heard that there are third party programs that can be used to solve this problem, but I hear that those programs can do some nasty things to a CPU.
Can anyone verify any of this?

You can try Clock Gen or Crystal CPUID, but I doubt they will work. There may be other programs out there that might work, I am not much of an Intel fan.

You will not hurt the CPU overclocking at stock voltage, it may be unstable if you try and push it too far without being able to make other adjustments in the Bios.

Time to save up for a new Mobo!

Yeah, thanks Necro, neither of those supports my damn piece of ****. After playing around with it I am able to overclock a massive 4% with my current board!

Screw intel and their crappy motherboard, and further screw them for their crappy heatsink (60c with the case open and a house fan pointed at it)
