Default Audio problem with OC

I have my ABIT IS7-E at 232 FSB with the AGP/PCI locked at 66/33. RAM divider at 5:4 and Im using a PCI soundcard. Rest of the specs in my sig.

When I play mp3s via either iTunes or WinAmp I get chipmunk sounds.........what is up with that. If I got back to stock they are normal sounding. Anybody have a clue.

Sounds like a bad PCI lock on the board. It's a fairly common problem. Did you try a different soundcard? You might want to switch the board out for a new one via RMA, or get a similar sockeyt 478 board geared more towards overclocking. The Abit IC-7 series of boards works well.

Try 67mhz instead of 66mhz on the AGP, this sometimes forces the lock to kick in on some boards, don't ask why....it just does!

Problem has already been fixed. I tried all the above but putting the AGP even 1 mhz out of spec would cause the PC not to boot. Finally I just put it back on locked and booted into Windows - the problem has disappeared. For now anyways.
