| I have my ABIT IS7-E at 232 FSB with the AGP/PCI locked at 66/33. RAM divider at 5:4 and Im using a PCI soundcard. Rest of the specs in my sig. When I play mp3s via either iTunes or WinAmp I get chipmunk sounds.........what is up with that. If I got back to stock they are normal sounding. Anybody have a clue. | ||

| Sounds like a bad PCI lock on the board. It's a fairly common problem. Did you try a different soundcard? You might want to switch the board out for a new one via RMA, or get a similar sockeyt 478 board geared more towards overclocking. The Abit IC-7 series of boards works well. ![]() | ||

Problem has already been fixed. I tried all the above but putting the AGP even 1 mhz out of spec would cause the PC not to boot. Finally I just put it back on locked and booted into Windows - the problem has disappeared. For now anyways. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
