First of, welcome to Pimprig! but well we need a little more information on your system to give you some tips. CPU, motherboard, cooling, etc...What are you using or doing to test the stability of your system? If you haven't already theres a great program you can use called prime95 to "torure test" your rig.

You will probly need to improve your cooling, and possibly bump a little more voltage to the CPU to get 3.8GHZ stable.
(Assuming the Motherboard, Memory and Power Supply are all up to the task)

Also check what your RAM divider is set at, you RAM might be hurting your OC, especially if your set at 1:1

To get more speed out of most CPU's, you genreally have to increase the voltage, wich in turn needs better cooling.

With sub zero temps using "Phase Change" cooling (Think AC) I have seen Prescotts reach well beyond 6GHZ.

Try a bumping the CPU voltage one notch above stock, if your 38c load temp is accurate, then you still have plenty of headroom.

What were you using for load temps? Folding@home is what I use, Prime 95 is popular too.

You may be running into the limits of your memory BTW (As other people have mentioned)

Until you can upgrade it, using a memory divider will let you find your max CPU speed.

Yea i am going to go buy some new ram thats made for OCing. In truth i didnt know that ram had much to do with OCing so i got cheap 2g pc3200 thinking ehhh its almost as good as the rest of the stuff now i know. What are some good sets of ram i would like to keep 2 gigs and money atm is not that big of a deal i still am way under my budget for this computer so lmk i paid $180 for 1 gig 2x 512 for the stuff i have now its samsung lol. Lmk I am just load testing my computer running HL2 and warhammer and othere games at the same time while playing mp3s and dvds and stuff. I got to 98% use. IDK if that works i am looking for a tester i will be getting one tonight. LMK if im doing this wrong. Thx for all the help and not for flameing me like some othere sites.
